Reports to: Senior Manager, Platforms Development

 

Purpose of the Role He/She is a subject matter expert and provides leadership when it comes to the design of solutions for customer facing applications. Guide the effective use of solutions and designs in order to achieve business outcomes in alignment with requirements and the overall Technology strategy, standards. Provide solution design and recommendations, collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and support delivery of projects to achieve desired outcomes.

 

Core Accountabilities

  • Develop solutions for the customer facing applications in the company. This includes but is not limited to roadmap development of cloud applications for the company.
  • Lead solution/technical delivery from design to launch.
  • Design solutions that effectively address both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Clearly articulate complex technical solutions to key business stakeholders.
  • Works occasionally as a mentor for the other team member providing guidance for best software practices and improving team collaboration.
  • Implements software that is highly scalable and highly available, as well as following guidelines to develop secure code and adhere to security best practices. Provide timely updates, escalate issues, and keep work-items up to date.
  • Creates and updates appropriate design documents, ensures implementation details and source code are sufficiently documented, and manages and maintains DevOps user stories, tasks, etc. as needed.
  • Design and create support process along with appropriate documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership to teams working within a disciplined development methodology.
  • Actively participate in Pre-sales activities including solutioning, estimating, planning, resourcing and presenting.
  • Ability to build deep relationships with customers and become a trusted advisor.
  • Working with the project manager to support the technical aspects of project delivery including planning, estimating, quality, change and risk management.
  • Support the Senior Application Manager in working through the vision and mission of the department across the broader organization.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing customer requirements and technology landscape.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent development projects in parallel.
  • Manage the platform support along with Vendor/Internal team members.
  • Drive towards delivery excellence and customer delight.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set and manage appropriate customer expectations when defining solutions.
  • Work with peers to strive for continuous improvement through establishing and driving best practices and processes.

 

Minimum Qualification and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5 years of solution design experience
  • Experience working on improvements of an Enterprise level system
  • Proven experience developing and supporting mission critical applications, including business applications
  • Experience developing robust, complex and scalable components for existing and new software solutions
  • Have worked effectively in a team environment
  • Have worked in a high-pressure environment; effectively prioritizing and executing tasks
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Extensive experience with designing solutions on Azure platform
  • Experience with impementations involving Dynamics365 or Oracle commerce cloud will be a bonus
