Reports To: Program Manager, Business Continuity. The Business Continuity Analyst is responsible for the execution of Operational Resiliency framework throughout Lifelabs. This includes supporting preparation and response efforts to potentially disruptive events and coordinate with business units in implementing business continuity related activities.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Develops / refreshes Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Plans with key stakeholders to ensure these are current and effective.
  • Coordinates with the Disaster Recovery (DR) team in aligning application lists, criticality levels, recovery objectives and testing of DR plans
  • Facilitate BCP validation exercises
  • Maintains BCM Dashboard, quality of BCM documentation and ensures critical information of BIA’s and BCPs are made available per demand
  • Analyzes data and provides insights for information that may pose as roadblocks to resiliency (ie. Vendor continuity, interdependencies, critical resources, single points of failure etc)
  • Identifies incidents and risks that may potentially result to business disruption and coordinate with incident response team/ crisis management team in managing crisis
  • Embeds BCM awareness within Lifelabs and provides relevant training to Business continuity coordinators of each business unit

 

 Requirements:

  • Level of Education:  Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 years of Business Continuity, Enterprise Risk Management, Crisis Management or Disaster Recovery Experience
  • Working knowledge of the BCM lifecycle
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and documentation skills
  • Capable of multitasking and monitoring threats that may result to disruptive events
  • Ability to support off hours emergencies and incidents
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Capable of tolerating ambiguity, exercising sound judgement and problem solving
