Reports to Director, Sales Operations

 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Business Data Analyst provides actionable insights that can be easily interpreted by business stakeholders; designing, developing, and maintaining ongoing metrics, reports, analyses & dashboards that drive meaningful and actionable insights. To provide analytical support, business data analysts are required to comprehend the business and information needs of the organization and translate them into BI/analytics/reporting deliverables

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop presentation materials to be used with the Board, executive team and broader organization based on direction from the Director, Business Development
  • Assist in preparing written documents including business development proposals and company information documents for marketing purpose
  • Provide data to evaluate and identify strategic opportunities for future initiatives
  • Supporting the development of reports for senior management, including market intelligence
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative data analysis and industry research
  • Work cross-functionally to track/monitor ongoing activities/projects; Maintain project documents (meeting notes, project plans etc)
  • Provide additional analysis as required

 

Minimum Qualifcation and Skills

  • Bachelor Degree  in Business, Finance, Management, Economics, Compter Science or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years in a business analytics environment
  • Function as a consultant to the business to understand what decisions they are trying to make and then using that business acumen, select the right data, metrics and analysis to answer their need
  • A detailed oriented, self-starter with demonstrated analytical and logical structuring expertise
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator
  • An enthusiastic and collaborative team player
  • High-level of  adaptability and emotional intelligence
  • Close attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Alteryx (ETL), SQL, Power BI, VBA, and well developed skills in quantitative and data modeling
  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm  for the healthcare and life sciences industries in Canada;
  • Dynamic, possessing the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and manage time effectively
