Reporting to the Manager, Community, the Community Coordinator, is based out of 30 International Blvd office, will provide coordination support nationally for all 5 tiers within the Community Portfolio. 
Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day requirements of the Employee Giving and Community Investment Programs.
  • Provide coordination support of all Community Partnership and Signature Partnership national giving initiatives; event planning, coordination and execution (on & offsite)


Community program data management:

  • Employee Giving Program
  • Review & process submissions  
  • Maintain data tracking and monthly reporting
  • Monitor budget
  • Develop communications brief, giving wall posters
  • Provide insights & assist in program promotion & growth


 Community Investment Program:  

  • Plan and coordinate commitments in key regions with support from Community Manager
  • Receive and escalate community investment requests
  • Process refusals and/or commitment letters & payment
  • Coordinate participant/guest/distribution lists, registration and event preparation details
  • Coordinate venues (food, equipment, agenda) ensure supplies/materials sent in advance  
  • Support development communications briefs/briefing notes (as required)
  • Maintain data tracking and monthly reporting
  • Monitor budget
  • Update photo gallery on 


 Coordination support Community Partnerships & Signature Partner:

  • Aid Community Manager with event planning, coordination and execution (as required)
  • Research support  
  • SWAG inventory management 


Data management:

  • Prepare monthly newsletter working with various stakeholders
  • Input data in various channels (internal intranet,
  • Management of inbox 

 Key Requirements:

  • 3-5 years in coordinator role within the following areas:
  • Corporate Social Responsibility/Community Engagement
  • Event/Experiential
  • Marketing/Advertising 
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of corporate social responsibility  
  • Knowledge/familiarity of Ontario charitable sector  
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and event logistics simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills particularly as it relates to event communications and marketing
  • Ability to exercise initiative and self-motivation and, at the same time, work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and establish positive relationships with individuals and groups, both internal and external.
  • Good understanding of event logistics and event sponsorship practices.
  • Good problem solving orientation and ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), social media.
  • Good understanding of budgets, monitoring and reporting.
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.
