The MDM, Data Governance and Quality Specialist will be The MDM, Data Governance and Quality Specialist will be involved in implementing Data Governance (DG), Data Quality (DQ) and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions as part of our digital data governance program. The position works with various data systems and provide technical expertise on MDM development and integrations. He/She will also drive value from the mastered data by identifying data challenges and recommending solutions to gain the most from the available data. The person in this role will build cross-functional relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders to gain support; develop strong relationships with vendor to implement practices directed at new or modified data sets and processes to improve our data assets.


Reports to: Senior Researcher, Excelleris



  • Work with SMEs and partners to design, implement, roll-out, audit, and improve DG, DQ, and MDM solutions that leverage the MDM Solution platform for our customers’ business benefit
  • Work closely with vendor to understand the end-to-end solution architecture of MDM solutions including hands-on data model definition and refinement, data quality assessment and remediation, data migration strategy, data stewardship activiites and system interaction
  • Participate in all phases of the data product starting from the detailed analysis to system correction and finally correction or enrichment of data domains.
  • Responsible to develop new means of DQ control structures to ensure the accuracy and quality of data to support data analytics and other processes
  • Analyze any non-compliance to data governance objectives and ensure corrective action is taken
  • Participate in user acceptance testing of releases and database integration
  • Lead various initiatives within Excelleris Technologies regarding new or modified data definition, standards and master data governance
  • Interact with DG committee, developers, IT data management, product managers and other business teams to translate requirements into smart solution designs and provide expert consulting around the MDM platform
  • Develop, implement and maintain DG oversight and DQ performance KPI to successfully measure DG objectives. Make recommendations to Manager regarding action towards continuous improvement of processes within the quality of all data
  • Develop material and execute training and/or communication to all internal/external data users regarding master data governance, DQ control processes, requirements or updates
  • Represent the team on projects and initiatives as deemed necessary to ensure that DG guidelines are respected. Provide technical MDM expertise to other systems consuming master data


Hiring Requirements

  • Min 3 years experience in a comparable role
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise DQ, MDM, or DG tools/solutions, preferable at least 1 end-to-end implementation with any MDM solution (e.g., AtaccamaOne, Reltio, Informatica)
  • Experience with Azure cloud services (Azure Analytical services/PowerBI)Strong understanding of various data types and associated lifecycles (e.g. master data, reference data, transactional data, etc.)
  • Experience dealing with data quality issues, understanding of data quality issues types and data governance policies
  • Proven and self-motivated performer who can manage multiple and evolving business priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in critical thinking and problem solving
