Purpose of the Role The Manager, HR is accountable for launching and managing several specified, new projects and initiatives to enable HR to deliver on the People Strategy and overall Business Strategy. S/he will be accountable for developing plans and ensuring execution of the initiative plans in collaboration and through influencing internal stakeholders at all levels. The role will focus on several key projects/initiatives to drive the company wide transformation strategy and support up to two HR Directors in the work.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Be a change agent:  Support and champion LifeLabs’ culture change and HR initiatives across the business and coaching management to “walk the talk”  
  • Provide input to business plans to align with HR strategies, regulatory environment and best practices overlaying a future focus 
  • Provide support and expertise to organizational change initiatives 
  • Challenge management teams to reflect and act as a catalyst for change  
  • Works within a client service excellence structure to deliver seamless service as a member of a larger HR team 
  • As a business partner and working across the other HR business partners:  
  • Manage the business group HR initiatives in partnership with business leaders o Providing expert advice on people challenges, talent management, organizational and individual performance and change  
  • Provide HR expertise and advisement drawing on and collaborating with areas of HR specialization as needed for program development, implementation and metrics in support of HR initiatives. 
  • Spearhead programs, policies and service delivery that supports the operations plans 
  • Support the culture and change workstream, a key component of our strategy and transformation, by managing several key initiatives or project.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other degree with additional business certification (ie. HR) 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a comparable role • Experience in large, matrix organizations able to work with all levels of individuals 
  • Demonstrated strategic but hands on approach 
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation and execution skills; able to deliver in a changing environment 
  • Demonstrated project management experience with medium sized projects including knows how to set milestones and track progress 
  • Proven and self-motivated performer who can manage multiple evolving business priorities 
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills required 
  • The candidate should enjoy working on various projects with a wide range of individuals in an organization going through transformation, with the opportunity to develop and build initiatives to drive the business strategy
