LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is seeking an Human Resources Student to join our Organizational Effectiveness team. Human Resources leads the People and Culture strategy of LifeLabs. You will join at an exciting time to support the Organizational Effectiveness team to carry out a range of initiatives that contribute to our overall People and Culture strategy.

 

This is a Temporary Full-Time role working remotely from your home.


Job Description:

  • Support the coordination of leader and employee events and meetings related to our Culture initiatives including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Support development and execution of projects and key initiatives including developing communications, , compiling reports and presentations and identifying issues and risks
  • Manage registration process key events and support technology set-up and operation as required
  •  Coordinate meeting preparation and minutes
  • Conduct best practice research for projects, and contribute to our DEI plan to find ways to engage employees in celebrating diversity days and events

LifeLabs is seeking individuals who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, while adhering to LifeLabs’ standards of safety, accuracy and efficiency. Do you have:

  • Post-Secondary student ideally in a Business Program with a focus on Marketing or Human Resources, or related discipline
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative and be proactive
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others in HR and across the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to take effective action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment
  • Demonstrated flexibility and a “can do” approachtoward  all interactions and assignments and be willing to take on new challenges
  • Possess solid written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effectively prioritize, manage and execute simultaneous tasks
  • Possess excellent computer skills, including experience creating spreadsheets and other documents, managing databases, and developing presentations, and reports. Must be familiar with the entire Microsoft Office suite as well as Adobe Acrobat. Exposure to HTML coding preferred.
  • Strong technology and digital skills required as well as a strong knowledge in leveraging platforms and social media to support our initiatives.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a remote work environment
