Reports to: Senior Manager, Business Applications

 

Purpose of the Role As the IT Technical Specialist you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and troubleshooting and production support of LifeLabs corporate applications. The IT Technical Specialist will have a full understanding of the business impact to solution integrations and is responsible for the ERP Systems and other business applications.

 

Core Accountabilities

  • Design, build, implement and maintain Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions and services
  • Perform technical development activities (Web, database, Java, PL/SQL, ETL, Forms and reports) and functional configuration work with Oracle Fusion Applications, Oracle EPM, Oracle Application Express, Kronos and other COTS applications
  • Execute unit testing of components/modules, implement automated unit tests, regression test integrated components. Execute performance tests, and optimize solutions as required
  • Plan for and execute solution deployments and support non-production environments for mission critical applications. Provide customer focused support and troubleshoot and resolve problems and issues, in line with documented service levels
  • Liaise with vendors, software engineers and architects to address issues in program logic and the interoperability of new applications with existing systems software
  • Plan, execute, and coordinate the integration and testing of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise
  • Responsible for testing the interoperability of application modules under development by in-house or commercial off-the-shelf product teams
  • Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and identify/resolve systems issues
  • Liaise with QA, PM, and IT teams to develop product release schedules
  • Liaise with IT Service Desk, Technical and Operation Teams for production readiness and support

 

Minimum Qualification and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or other related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an consultant/Application Support Analyst
  • Minimum of 3 years ‘experience in Implementing/ supporting Oracle Fusion Application/Oracle EPM/Archer/Visual Lease
  • Experience with Kronos would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is a plus
