Reporting to the Director Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement, the National Manager, Operations Support oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of all projects within the scope of Operations Support. As the Manager, National Operations Support you will work within the framework of the current fiscal business plan for project approval; the Manager ensures their team is strategically utlized and works with Senior Management and cross functional peers on strategy development and executation planning for their team. 

This is a full time permanent role and can be located in either BC or Ontario.

Accountabilities

  • Managing the Operations Support team nationally, to achieve all deliverables.
  • Manage the approval and assignment of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are implemented in accordance with plan including timelines and financial expectations and that any issues, challenges or deviations are managed as appropriate or escalated as required
  • Regular meetings with Ops Leaders/Directors to update on progress, evaluate new oppourtuntuites ,etc
  • Develop and define the accountabilities of the team as the company priorities evolve and change
  • Create monthly reports on progress, tracks all projects and project close out forums
  • Manage cross functional project teams
  • Lead the planning and execution of cross-discipline and/or cross-functional projects
  • Work with senior management and cross functional  peers for strategy development and execution planning
  • Continue to evaluate and develop PM skills of team, provide necessary training, coaching, mentoring

Requirements

  • College Diploma and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a leadership role in laboratory operations.
  • Five plus years of management experience in an Operations environment 
  • Excellent People Leadership skills
  • Excellent facilitation and change management skills.
  • Experience with  managing cross functional project teams
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects with financial acuity
  • Ability to develop program measurements
  • Comprehensive understanding of cross functional interdependencies and relationships
