THIS ROLE IS A 12-MONTH CONTRACT WITH A STRONG PROBABILITY OF CONVERTING TO PERM FOLLOWING THE TERM.

 

Reports to: Manager, Clinical Services

Purpose of the Role: Accountable for the effective and efficient coordination of the patient workflow (or patient care) relating to the medical practitioners and other clinical staff in the LifeLabs Clinical team, in addition to the provision of administrative support to the team. Liaison with various LifeLabs multidisciplinary departments in order to get various tasks done.

 

Core Accountabilities:

• Create and maintain accurate medical records in an Electronic Medical Record, in order to support the clinical team which includes, but is not limited to: nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians.

• Facilitate positive report call out for the Clinical team by organizing files in applicable software (e.g.: EMR, LaunchPad), including the scheduling of appointments and ensuring effective communication.

• Answer phone calls and deal with inquiries from customers

• Prepare and maintain reports and documentation, as required.

• Ensure controlled documents and records are maintained according to accreditation requirements

 

 Minimum Hiring Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• Medical Office Administrator certificate or training would be considered an asset

• 1+ year of previous administrative experience in a medical practice/clinic/hospital/healthcare facility

• Proficiency with EMR
