The National Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading the Talent Acquisition strategy and executing the plan across the business.   The incumbent will further evolve the TA function to be a recognized, value added business partner applying best practice standards and customized services to meet business hiring needs.  In addition to leading a national team of 6 – 8 Talent Acquisition Specialists, the Manager will lead a number of key optimization projects to advance the function including the ATS and process related initiatives.   This role reports to the Director, Talent & Organizational Effectiveness and will be based out of 100 International Blvd.  Occasional travel to British Columbia is required.

 

  • Develop customized strategies and plans to meet business short-term and long-term hiring needs
  • Evolve the campus talent acquisition strategy and programs to establish sustainable candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Build the LifeLabs talent brand and standardize go to market strategies & social media activations to increase candidate engagement across Canada
  • Team Management:
    • Hire, onboard, train/develop, performance management
    • Volume management – escalations, cross-training, contract resource support
    • Client relationship and escalation management
    • Team engagement
  • TA Optimization:
    • Lead ATS upgrade and TA change management initiatives
    • Process improvements, defined workflows & task owners
    • Reporting standards, KPIs, Dashboards and system capabilities
    • Hiring manager interview training & improved hiring capabilities
  • Agency and Job Board vendor management

 

Qualifications:

  • University or college diploma in Human Resources/Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of eight years of progressive HR and talent acquisition experience with at least five years of people management experience
  • Solid understanding of HR governance, legislation, and regulatory environment to effectively identify issues, build programs, and appropriately consult managers and employees
  • Demonstrated knowledge of talent acquisition current best practices including assessment, sourcing, and measurement
  • Demonstrated business acumen and consultative skills with ability to partner with leaders in defining their talent needs while developing innovative approaches and HR programs that meet these needs
  • Experience in sourcing hard-to-fill roles
