Reporting to the Business Applications Manager, the Oracle Specialist develops and/or promotes technical solutions which align with LifeLabs platform based approach.

 

This role works closely with business users to assess requests for enhancements, provide troubleshooting and support for any Oracle ecosystem issues.

 

They will also support any change management related to updates/changes in business processes and system functionality.

 

Accountabilities:

• Execute functional module configuration work with Oracle Cloud and associated applications.

• Integrate third party products into internal systems as well as support and upgrade implemented systems.

• Maintain best practices including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution

• Implement solutions and execute upgrade plans partnering with the appropriate IT teams.

• Ensure technical integration of business process solutions during transition of new applications to Production

• Effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

• Identify problems and makes recommendations regarding most expedient approach to problem resolution

• Manage changes to the Business, Data and Applications architecture.

• Formulate detailed specifications based on user requirements.

• Troubleshoot issues and follow through to resolution.

• Analyze business requirements; conducts feasibility tests

• Prepare functional/technical specifications

• Conduct high-level system function design

• Manage system scope and user expectations

• Coordinate release management testing.

• Prepare system user guides and communication material, if required

• Arrange and deliver user training, if required

• Liaise with QA and business users for system migration

• Liaise with IT Technical and Operation Teams for production readiness

• Ensure adherence to ITSM processes. Create and contribute to SLA’s and metrics. 

 

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a technical consultant/developer in Oracle Fusion or E-Business Suite

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Experience in Oracle Fusion or Oracle e-Business

• Prior exposure to the following modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Purchasing, iProcurement, Projects, Fixed Assets, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, e-Commerce Gateway and Inventory.

• Ability to break down complex problems into actions
