PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Product Marketing Specialist supports the development of content and marketing activities that attracts a target audience to enable the growth objectives of LifeLabs’ Consumer portfolio. The Product Marketing Specialist is knowledgeable on marketing processes and able to execute assigned projects at a high level. They are comfortable and confident in their ability to develop, write for and invest in the appropriate campaigns and channels to optimize marketing ROI. They have demonstrated experience in consumer healthcare marketing, including marketing digital healthcare services and platforms.


The Product Marketing Specialist is accountable to ensure key campaign milestones are met, written work is well reviewed and vetted for quality assurance, and advertising opportunities are captured and optimized. They report to the Senior Marketing Manager, and work closely with the product managers, digital marketing team, sales team, and business/customer intelligence group.


This is a 12months full time contract with a potential for extension. Health benefits are applicable.


Core Accountabilities:

  • Develop product marketing strategies for all existing and new products within the category to consumers and healthcare professionals
  • Develop and track a 12-month marketing activity calendar with KPIs
  • Develop and/or review content for all marketing materials (i.e. brochures, digital assets, websites, copywriting, video, white paper, blogs, etc.) and obtain necessary approval from all related parties (i.e. Product Managers, MedSci, Legal, Regulatory, Communications)
  • Working with Product Managers, develop content for print and online media
  • Manage campaigns across multiple channels including print, patient service centers, social media, digital health platforms, virtual events, webinars, paid ads, TV, radio, etc.
  • Track and report result of each campaign, making improvements as necessary
  • Manage end-to-end campaigns for digital healthcare services, from creative development to execution and reporting
  • Monitor and report new competitor offerings
  • Work with product team on pre-launch activities and market research
  • Develop and deliver internal presentations on all marketing-related activities for digital healthcare services, and other assigned product categories
  • Complete advertising agreements and manage submissions and deadlines, including ad design, internal reviews and proofing
  • Build a repository of ads for healthcare providers, patients and consumers, as well as generic corporate brand ads
  • Keep track of all advertising activities (ad tracking) and report on ad performance
  • Under the direction of the Product Managers and Senior Marketing Manager, develop positioning strategies for new services by understanding competitive market conditions
  • Determine industry trends by working with the Customer Experience and Engagement teams 
  • Nurturing leads from various campaigns to qualify them based on interest / propensity to purchase and providing a robust content strategy to keep various segments engaged with our brand.


Minimum Qualifications and Skills:  

  • BA/ MA Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Scientific or healthcare-related bachelor degree preferred
  • MBA or Post-secondary education in business and/or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in a Marketing role, including 2 – 3 years of consumer healthcare / platform marketing experience 
  • Open to travel in GTA if required
