The Senior Financial Analyst, Capital Planning and Facilities will be take on a leadership role to monitor and analyze our enterprise CAPEX spending across all divisions and teams at LifeLabs as well as monitor and analyze all Facilities operations. In this capacity, the successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Manager to collaborate across Operations, Sales & Marketing, Facilities, and IT, etc. to optimize and strategize our capital investments, as well as deliver on the finance cycle and performance management as it pertains to CAPEX.  In addition, the role will be responsible for end to end support to the national facilities team.


This is an opportunity with a great deal of cross-functional  and leadership visibility as you will partner across the business to further develop and institutionalize a new capital management process.




  • Facilitate enterprise capital prioritization during planning with a common lens on capacity constraints
  • Develop and implement a process to review projects post completion to ensure the benefits described within the planning document, both quantitative and qualitative, have been achieved
  • Preparation and/or assistance with quarterly Capital Committee meetings with leadership
  • Guide the strategic dialouge around meaningful prioritization of capital choices that align with our strategic direction and business vision
  • Develop a greater understanding of, and analyze variances associated with, the capital budget, prior year plan, actuals, and the forecast
  • Lead the analysis planning, budgeting and forecasting activities for total Company Capital and National Facilities
  • Co-ordinate period end close activities complete with journal entries, variance analysis and reporting activities for both Capital and Facilities
  • Present all relevant financial metrics and variance explanations in relation to period end closing, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting deliverables to all Finance leaders including CFO and SVP Corporate Services
  • Provide the business with recommendations to improve performance and optimize portfolio investment decisions via financial and business case analysis
  • Support the Financial Planning and Analysis organization in building and sustaining a successful business partnership model across a broad and diverse client base and in delivering continuous tangible value through robust analytics




  • 3-5 years of work experience in accounting, finance or business administration, with some financial business partnering or analytical background preferred
  • Undergraduate degree is required, MBA and/or accounting designation is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple workstreams concurrently, and work well under pressure
  • Ability to plan and anticipate challenges to ensure they are addressed appropriately without impacting timelines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsfot Office (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.) and famliarity with Oracle and Hyperion
