Reports to: Portfolio Manager, EPMO

 

Purpose of the Role The Senior Project Manager reports to the Portfolio Manager, within the Enterprise Project Management Office, and is responsible for managing medium to large enterprise wide projects as assigned by the Portfolio Manager. The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of multiple projects through LifeLabs defined gating framework using LifeLabs established project processes and templates. The incumbent will also provide coaching and mentoring to the Project Managers

 

Core Accountabilities

  • Manage the implementation of project deliverables including the management of project integration, scope, time, cost, procurement, quality, communication and resources
  • Balance the planning and execution of concurrent cross-disciplinary and/or cross-functional projects in various phases of delivery
  • Manage risks, opportunities, changes and conflict resolution within projects
  • Ensure sustainability of new product or service implementation, ensure effective project execution, and conduct project post-implementation review with a view to continuous improvement
  • Build business cases, define and ensure delivery of project artifacts as required by established processes
  • Provide regular reports on project status, open RAID log items Provide subject matter expertise to Project Managers on smaller projects
  • Participate in strategic project governance process for prioritization and reporting
  • provide Coaching and mentoring as required.
  • Provide input to performance reviews and report performance related issues.
  • Support other team members on tool and process adoption as prescribed by the Center of Excellence (CoE)

 

Minimum Qualificatons and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in life science s or equivalent preferred
  • 5-8 years project management experience
  • Excellent facilitation and change management skills
  • Ability to manager cross functional project teams
  • Abillity to work on 1-3 Projects at a time (small, medium and large scope)
  • Ability to manage cross-functional project teams (20+)
  • Formal Project Management training and PMP certification is required or equivalent experience
  • Excellent facilitation and change management skills
  • Previous experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maufacturing industry experience preferred
